Q&A Session
State of Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont

Ned Lamont was sworn into office as the 89th governor of the State of Connecticut in January of 2019, and began his second term in January of 2023. Governor Lamont first got involved in public service shortly after college, founding a weekly newspaper in a town hit by the loss of its largest employer and bringing voice and transparency to a community working to recover from job losses and reinvent itself. Later, he started his own company, taking on the large and established giants of the telecom industry and growing the company to serve over 400 of America's largest college campuses and one million college students across the nation. Governor Lamont is now committed to building a strong, prosperous future for the state of Connecticut and has pioneered investments in workforce development, education, and the environment to help ensure the state’s bright future.
